A Peek Into Our Day

I wanted to give you a small peek into our day. Our mornings are filled with our content learning: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and everything else! What we don't get done in the morning we finish after lunch. The rest of the day is spent with the students involved in literacy activities. These activities include daily choice time, and "centers". During Daily Choice Time, each student chooses two of the following activities to complete each day, with the goal of completing each activity at least twice during the week. The activities include Read to Self / Read to Someone, Listen to Reading, Writing, or Reading with Miss Sharon. Here is a peek at the students involved in choice time. Enjoy!

In this video are Brieanna, Marissa, Collin, Dalton, Dustin, Gabe, Cole, Ethan, Sammy, Bradin, Collin, Kadin, and Kaydence:

100 Day

Today was our 100th Day of School!

The students each brought in a collection of 100 items that would fit in a baggie. Those who didn't bring anything were given items from our manipulatives. Each student counted out their collection in groups of 10 on a mat, and displayed it at their seat for everyone to view.

We then took a tour of the school to see what students from other classes brought. While we toured, we sang a couple of 100 Day songs from our Unified Arts Teacher, Mrs. Morgan. Then we all gathered in the gym for our 100 Day cheer and wrap-up. It was great fun!
