We had lots of fun during our Valentine's Party on Tuesday!

First, I gave a large conversation heart to each student, and they had to count and graph the number of letters on their heart.

Next, we estimated how many small conversation hearts we could grab in our hand, then we counted the actual number. As you can see, most of us are pretty good estimators!

We had many treats (thank you parents!), and the students enjoyed exchanging Valentine's Cards, though we ran out of time to look at each one before it was time to go home. While the students were passing out their cards, I made "Bubbly Love Potion" for everyone. They thought this was a hoot! But before you start thinking you'll be planning a wedding in the near future (!), it was just a dollop of raspberry sherbet in the bottom, then half fruit punch and half 7-Up (shhh, don't tell the kids my secret!)

Happy "Balentimes" Day! :D
